Dirk Knudsen is a lifelong resident of the Hillsboro, Oregon region having called Old Orenco home for nearly six decades. With more than 35 years in real estate sales and consulting, he founded his brokerage in Hillsboro and has become a leading broker in the area offering full-service residential, commercial and investment real estate solutions.

Beyond his professional role, Dirk is deeply engaged in the community: he has coached youth sports for many years, served on the Hillsboro Planning & Zoning Hearings Board, and holds leadership positions in local nonprofits including as Vice-Chair of Open Door HousingWorks and President of the Hillsboro Historical Society. He has also played a key role in civic and land-use matters in the area, including advancing the transformation of the former Orenco Woods golf course into the publicly accessible Orenco Woods Nature Park (42 acres) by building a coalition and negotiating with financial and public stakeholders.

Dirk consistently emphasizes service over commission, dedicating a notable portion of his work to nonprofits and community-oriented real-estate causes.

Chris’s decades of experience volunteering with other non-profits, running Board meetings, and organizing strategic planning and fundraising, are invaluable in fulfilling the mission of ODHW.

Chris is passionate about ODHW’s mission of compassion towards others and building a better community for all. He and his wife Kim celebrated 30 years of marriage in 2024, and together they enjoy life with their three grown children and four grandchildren. Hardworking, loyal, and deeply committed to serving others, Chris is an invaluable part of the ODHW family.

Aimee Sukol is an Oregonian and longtime Portlander who’s spent 20 years advocating for houseless members of the community, youth, civil/human rights, mental healthcare, ADHD/neurodivergent awareness, and animal welfare. In addition to ODHW board membership, Aimee serves as an advisor on the State Council of Economic Advisors to the Governor and the Mental Health Alliance.

For over two decades, Aimee has dedicated her time to economic and public policy. She has a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School, a Masters of Education from Old Dominion University, and a Master’s of Arts in Political Science/Public Policy from Western Washington University. Since 2018, Aimee has operated Sukol Venture Consulting, a strategic planning, research & development firm that serves nonprofits, government agencies, and private sectors.

In her free time, Aimee enjoys the arts, her feline housemates, and public service. Aimee treasures her work with Open Door HousingWorks and looks forward to continued collaboration with their great team on serving our houseless neighbors.
