Coming Soon!
The Open Door Access Center
We’re excited to announce the future home of Open Door HousingWorks’ Access Center, located in Cornelius, Oregon – the same community where we currently manage the Cornelius Safe Rest Village (CSRV).
As the CSRV program sunsets, we’ll be breaking ground on an innovative, purpose-built facility designed to meet the evolving needs of our unhoused neighbors and broader community. The Access Center will be a central hub for care, connection, and transformation.
A Center Designed for Impact
The new Access Center will serve as the main headquarters for our:
- Case Management
- Workforce Development
- Outreach programs
- Shelter and administrative staff
- Home Ownership
Designed with trauma-informed care at its core, the facility will reflect Open Door’s values in both structure and spirit. Thoughtful features – including warm colors, welcoming meeting spaces, and calming sensory elements – are being incorporated to ensure the environment promotes safety, dignity, and healing.
What the Access Center Will Offer
The facility will include:
- Dedicated training rooms for skill-building and workforce development
- A specialized kitchen for preparing meals and assembling food boxes
- Drop-in support services for participants and community members
- A health provider suite for on-site medical and behavioral health support
- Peer support and counseling rooms
- A quiet room designed for those experiencing sensory overload or needing a calm space
- An outdoor area for pets to play, socialize, and stay active while their humans receive services
This project represents more than just a building – it’s a long-term investment in people, and a bold step toward redefining how we serve the unhoused community in Washington County.
Stay tuned for updates as we move forward. We can’t wait to welcome you into the next chapter of Open Door HousingWorks.
